The Preschool Ministry at First Baptist Church, Round Rock is called "Little Lambs." Our mission statement clearly defines the five purposes of our Preschool Ministry.
PRESCHOOL MINISTRY MISSION STATEMENT:
Our Preschool Ministry exists to share God's LOVE with the preschoolers of our community. We teach preschoolers to ADORE God and BUILD their faith and trust in Him as they MEET new friends and learn to SERVE others.

Bible Study
All ages at 8:30 and 9:45 AM
Each week a Bible truth is conveyed through a Bible verse, Bible thoughts, a Bible story and learning activities to help children learn the Bible truth. Because preschoolers are concrete learners and very active, we provide hands-on experiences at learning centers. The various centers are art, blocks, books, home living, nature and puzzles.
Extended Teaching Care - Birth to Fours, Sunday - 11:00 AM
We provide Extended Teaching care for preschoolers birth through 3 during each worship service. During this time, preschoolers play in learning centers and have activities that tie the Sunday School lesson to the extended teaching session. Preschoolers also receive a snack and have a group Bible story time. For current ETC Calendar information please contact Terrie or Chrissy in the church office.
Preschool Choir, Sundays - 4:45-5:45 PM
Preschoolers who have turned 3 by September 1st are invited to join a preschool choir group. There are three groups, the Treble Makers (3's), Angels (4's) and the Cherubs (Kindergarten). Preschoolers will learn about rhythm and music while they learn Bible songs.
AWANA, Wednesday Evening - Kindergarten - 6:00-7:25 PM
Awana is fun with a purpose - to reach and train kids for Jesus Christ. Games, puppets, crafts, awards and other activities transform our preschool program into a lively weekly experience where fun and learning go hand in hand. Bible-centered handbooks and club activities help your children begin to build a solid understanding of the basics of Christianity at an early age. Awana is unique because it supports parents as the primary source of spiritual nurturing. By working directly with their child on the weekly handbook lessons, parents become active participants in their child's spiritual development.
First Steps Learning Center, Tuesday & Thursday - 9:00 AM-2:00 PM
The First Steps Learning Center is a vital part of First Baptist Church's Christian Education Ministry. It seeks through its faculty and curriculum to provide a wholesome Christian atmosphere in which preschoolers can learn of God's love and care. It tries to lay a foundation of knowing Jesus as a friend that can one day become a personal commitment to Christ. A love and appreciation for God, Jesus and God's world are stressed through learning activities.
Parent/Child Dedication
Parent/Child dedication is a special time for the congregation to welcome new members of our families. Parents are encouraged and reminded that the home should be the child's main source for Spiritual learning. Parents dedicate themselves to be the primary Bible teachers of their children. Each child dedicated receives a Bible with the date of the dedication.
