One of the ways that we take our call to discipleship seriously is by being committed to meeting for regular Bible Study. We meet every Sunday in the Upstairs Assembly Area and are then divided into classes by grade. During this time we get to know one another, study Scripture, and explore what it means to be a follower of Jesus.

Joel Williams
Interim Student Minister

Student Ministry Assistant
Joel Williams began serving as the Interim Student Minister at First Baptist Church Round Rock in May 2026. His vision for the Student Ministry is that it would be a gospel centered ministry where every Student is invited to Discover, Deepen, and Depend on a relationship with Jesus. His hope and prayer is that every student would become a disciple that makes disciples.
Joel is married to Brynn who teaches and coaches at Farley Middle School in Hutto. They are high school sweethearts from the metropolis of Jayton, Texas (population - 500).
Joel has a Bachelor’s in Christian Studies from Hardin-Simmons University (Go Cowboys!) and plans to pursue a master of divinity while serving here.
On Sundays & Wednesdays, you can often find Joel hanging out in the upstairs youth area usually joking around with the students. He would love to serve your entire family in any way so feel free to reach out!
Personal Passions: Passing the torch of the Gospel on to the next generation.

Favorite Music: Contemporary Christian, 90s Alternative Rock, Christian Rap, and anything TobyMac

Favorite Scripture: Romans 8:1 - "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."

Colleen Kraus has been working with the Student Ministry officially since July 2026, but she has been volunteering with the students since March 2024, and working at FBCRR since September 2024. She believes every student needs to see God's love modeled by others in order for them to show that love to those around them.
Colleen has been married to her husband, Dan, for 13 years, and they reside in Jarrell.
Colleen has a degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (Go Cru!)
Colleen volunteers with the worship ministry, singing in choir, leading worship, and directing the Preschool Choir.
Personal Passions: Helping others find their passion and supporting them through it.

Favorite Scripture: Philippians 4:6-7 - "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
