Use the Wee Learn curriculum.  This is a learning center based curriculum which brings God into the preschooler’s everyday activities.  Whether they are playing in the home living center, the art center, the nature center, reading books or hearing Bible stories, they learn about God’s love for them and the wonderful world He created.

Use All Aboard the Animal Train by My Father’s world.  This is a year-long hands-on learning adventure with fun and easy-to-teach Bible-based lessons. Your child will learn about 12 animals through stories, finger plays, creative play, and colorful animal cookie cutters. Along the way, they will experience spiritual growth, cognitive development, reading and math readiness, and develop a love of learning.

Use the Voyage of Discovery by My Father’s world.  They will gain academic readiness skills with the alphabet and numbers, enjoy read-aloud times, develop fine and large motor skills, and increase in cognitive skills. Most importantly, children learn God’s truth and are encouraged to live it in their lives.

This is Ms. Lynn!  She has lived in Round Rock for 16 years with her  husband and son. In 2018, she retired from teaching after 29 years, all in primary grades. Besides her  passion for working with children, she is a big animal lover, and has 4 dogs, 2 cats, and a bearded dragon. She also enjoys reading, TV, movies, and serving at at First Baptist Round Rock. She is a big fan of Snoopy and baseball...Go Dodgers!

Ms. Jessica is new to FSLC this year.  She recently was a part of the special needs program with Hutto ISD.  We are excited to have her join us.

Ms. Bri is joining us for her 3rd year with FSLC.  We love her energy and excitement!  She is currently studying at ACC.

Red 3

Ms. Aracely is starting her 3rd year teaching the youngest 2 year old class.  She is married and has two kids.  She has the BEST smile around and is always so welcoming to the kids.

Ms. Kayla has been an assistant teacher at a similar learning center for three years and has nannied for six years. She enjoys fostering a peaceful place where kids can learn, grow and play. She is looking forward to leading and teaching the one year old class. She is very excited for a year filled with learning, curiosity, and fun! 

P.E. Teacher

Ms. Julie is starting her 2nd year with us.  She LOVES PE and creates a great environment for the kids to learn and move.

Music Teacher

This is Mrs. Dolores. She has been married to her husband, Jesse, for almost 49 years. They have a daughter, Jessica. Jessica is a music therapist currently at Houston Methodist Hospital, but she received her love and music education from FBCRR.  She is a lifelong resident of Williamson County. She is looking looking forward to being your child’s music teacher this year at the First Steps Learning Center where she have served for the past 6 years. She loves working with children in the areas of creative arts and watching them grow and express themselves particularly through music. She has worked with children for almost 45 years in the United States, Mexico, and Honduras both in the church and school settings bringing music activities to the classroom. Early childhood music education is one of her greatest passions. She is super excited and looking forward to this new school year. She is be praying that the Lord will give us all a successful year. May this year’s music program be a “sweet, sweet sound” in His ears!

Tracey has been a member of First Baptist Church Round Rock since 1995. She began serving in the preschool ministry in 1998 and transitioned to the role of Preschool Minister in 2003.  She took over the role of the Children’s Minister four years ago.  She received a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2009.

She feels truly blessed to work for the Lord here at First Baptist Church and wants to partner with families as they raise their children to be followers of Christ. In September 2026 she celebrates her 23rd anniversary with FBCRR. She and her husband Jack have been married for 33 years and have 2 adult children who both got married in 2023.  No grandkids just yet.

Meet Mrs. Michelle. She was a stay-at-home mom with my two kids Sammy (14) & Maggie (11) before working for First Steps. She has been married for 16 years and lives in Round Rock with her family and 1 cat, Nala. She has always LOVED babies and kids. She started babysitting at 10 years old and knew that she wanted to grow up to be a mom and work with kids. She loves spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys cleaning and organizing everything as you can see in our resource room!  She likes watching movies with her family (especially Hallmark) and she has a HUGE, sweet tooth!  This is her 6th year with First Steps!
